Trust & Safety

Safety & Standards

Adventure should feel thrilling – never risky. This is exactly how we run every tour, so you know what to expect before you book.

Licensed operator

Desert Safari Dubai Tour is a DTCM licensed tour operator. Our licence is displayed in our office and its number is printed on this website, so you can check who you are booking with.

Vehicles

  • Dune bashing is done only in 4x4 Toyota Land Cruisers fitted with internal roll cages, seat belts for every seat and a first-aid kit.
  • Every vehicle, quad bike and buggy is inspected before the first trip of the day – tyres, brakes, belts and lights.
  • Quad bikes and buggies are serviced on a fixed schedule, and any vehicle with a fault is taken out of service until it is repaired.
  • All vehicles are registered and insured for desert use.

Drivers & guides

  • Safari drivers hold a desert driving permit and are trained in dune driving, recovery and first aid.
  • Every quad bike and buggy ride is led by a guide who rides in front of the group and controls the pace.
  • Guides keep small groups so every rider stays within sight, and a second guide joins larger convoys.
  • Drivers and guides carry radios and phones and know the recovery points in the desert area.

Safety gear & briefings

  • Helmets, goggles and face scarves are provided on every quad bike and buggy ride, in child and adult sizes.
  • Every rider receives a hands-on briefing on controls, hand signals and what to do if they get stuck.
  • Seat belts must be worn at all times in Land Cruisers and buggies.

Health & age rules

  • Dune bashing is not recommended for pregnant women, children under 3, or guests with back, neck or heart conditions – we offer a smooth desert drive instead.
  • Quad bike drivers must be 16+. Dune buggy drivers must be 18+ with a valid car driving license.
  • Passengers in buggies must be at least 6 years old.
  • Nobody is allowed to drive after drinking alcohol.

Weather

Our operations team checks the weather and official advisories every day. If wind, sandstorms or heat make a trip unsafe, we reschedule or refund in full – we never run a tour we would not take our own families on.

Food hygiene

Food at the camp is prepared fresh in a licensed kitchen, with vegetarian dishes cooked and served separately. Tell us about allergies when booking and we will brief the camp team.
